PV Expert - Strategic Tech Advisor

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an expert of photovoltaic power plants to lead our company’s decision making in order to achieve some of our most important business and customer objectives.  
In this role, you will be the principal stakeholder for some of the central pillars of our overall platform and provide the strategic vision of the company’s future. You will sit at the center of developing industry-leading solutions that fuel the accelerated adoption of solar and help us achieve our mission of creating a future of solar energy for all. You’ll work closely alongside the COO, Product Managers, Customer Success Lead and a small set of manager-level peers to set the overall vision and strategy for the pvDesign platform, and work across teams to execute on that strategy. 

The candidate will be responsible for
  • Work with relevant stakeholders in the definition of the future vision, objectives, and strategy for pvDesign that represent a majority of our revenue.
  • Provide expert knowledge & feedback of the pv solar Field to the product, customer success and business development teams.
  • Advise & participate in market research journeys (discoveries) to ensure that the entire team stay informed on the updates of the pv plant market & design standards.
  • Work with the product team and relevant stakeholders in the definition of the high-level priorities and tradeoffs for several of our most critical product areas.
  • Identify key improvements in the customer journey and develop programs to optimize to help us achieve our biggest objectives.
  • Work with company leadership to align the product strategy and execute it collaboratively across departments to increase net revenue retention (customer success, marketing, business development, etc).
Required skills
  • 10+ years experience in the design and development of solar PV plants in various regions around the world.
  • Experience as a technical engineer, project manager in the solar pv energy field. Has been involved in different stages of solar plant design from conceptual design to detailed engineering.
  • Strong connections and network in the pvSolar field.
  • A leader who is able to set the direction, inspire the team, and make key decisions to drive the company forward.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication.
  • A high level of English (C2) is required.
  • Systems thinking: able to analyze complex systems, workflows, and multiple user personas to create the best solutions within the surrounding context.
  • Communication: able to clearly articulate ideas, concerns, and opportunities.
  • Desire to coach, mentor, and develop the customer success management team across all levels of experience and expertise.
Desired skills
  • We value additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, etc).
  • Experience with AutoCAD & PvSyst
